Busy Busy Busy!

(well, trying this again... first time, the browser froze and I lost EVERYTHING I had written... ::sighs::)

Just dropping a quick note to let you all know that I have been busy, creating for you all. I am actually participating in 3 different blog trains that will be coming through in the next couple of months. In November, I'll be part of a wonderful train called "After Dark" which is supported by the designers at ADS Designers. I have seen quite a few of the other parts and have to tell you, if you don't go around snagging them, you are really going to miss out. A lot of hard work and effort went in to creating these lovely pieces, and I'm sure the designers would love to see how much their work is appreciated! Look for my part - and the links - on November 1st! It will be going on all during the month of November.

Then, in December, I will be taking part in 3 different blog trains. Yes, you read right! Three! The first one, leaving the station on December 1st, is another blog headed up by ADS Designers. This one is called "Holiday At Home" and it's already looking to be a very interesting, memorable kit! Each designer is allowed to use their own color scheme/palette for their portion of the kit, and there are already a good number of designers signed up to take part! It will be exciting to see the different holiday colors and themes portrayed in the different parts of the collaboration. Be sure to check here on December 1st for my part of the train, and the links for this wonderful kit.

Also on December 1st, I will be participating in the Christmas Convoy! This is really shaping up to be an impressive kit as the designers are doing their best to share with you their little bit of the holidays! There is still some time to sign up if you are a designer and interested. Just send an email to ChristmasConvoy (at) gmail.com stating your interest in participating in the Christmas Convoy. Be sure to include your Yahoo ID, Designer name, and URL to your blog/site. (Also note, they are already taking information for those who are interested in participating in their New Years Convoy too!)

Then, on December 15th, I will be getting on board the Holly Jolly Express with my part of this wonderful, huge kit which currently has about 50 designers signed up to participate! There are some established designers taking part, like Queen Brat, Hummie, and Gail of Aussie Scraps. For a list of the participating designers, check here. And if you are interested in participating, I'm sure they'd love to have you! Information for submission guidelines and contact email can be found here.

And then, on top of all these wonderful blog trains, I am trying to make my own Yuletide kit. I've been trying to work on a color scheme that isn't real close to the ones being used for the collaborative kits. I don't know what size this kit will be, so I guess we will both be surprised!

Anyways, going to log here, so I can get to working on some of the kits and email and other stuff. May you all have a happy, haunted (and safe!) Halloween

and to my fellow pagan friends and readers, may you have a Blessed Samhain.

New Template!

Hello Everyone!

Just a quick share this morning while I wait for my daughter to finish getting ready. She has a follow up appointment with her doctor at 9:10 AM as she has managed to get another ear infection about a week ago. For those of you who might not know, she has a bad history of ear infections - ever since she was a baby. Last winter she had one so bad it ended up as a perforated eardrum and took over 2 months to heal. Needless to say she also missed quite a bit of school and ended up taking summer school to make up the missed time so she could go on to the next grade. We really don't want a repeat performance of last winter. She's been on antibiotics for the last week or so for the right ear however now she says that her left ear is bothering her (that's the ear we had the problems with last winter), so I'm a tad worried what the doctor is going to say.

So anyways, while she was getting ready, I whipped up a tag template real quick. I've been sketching out different ideas for templates when I'm not on the computer, and this is one of the ones I thought up on paper. Hope you all like! Here is the preview:

It's available in 2 formats: .psd and .pspimage. Here are the download links:

If you make something with it, I'd love to see!!

Off to finish something else real quick before we have to leave. Hope you all have a wonderful day today!

Until next time....

And here's hoping you all have a wonderful weekend!!!

Holding on to the Springtime

I guess this is one of my last-ditch attempts to hold on to springtime. It's been getting colder here at night and the days are even starting to get cooler. I don't mind the cool days so much - love springtime and autumn the best - just not looking forward to the extreme cold that wintertime brings. We have a frost advisory out for this morning.... will be interesting to see if we actually get any.

However, I was playing around with the different filters and shapes and such in PSP and trying to get better at making my own shapes and such, and made the following "spiky" flowers. They come in 8 vibrant colors and of course I had to get my purple in there too! Here is the preview:

and the upload links, in the usual 3 formats:

.pspimage format

Hope you like them! If you make anything with them, I'd love to see it.
Be sure to check back often as I'm always working on something!

Think I'm heading to bed in a little bit as it is after 5:30 AM here. Hope you all have a wonderful day and start to the weekend.

Until next time...

Also, I've been working on something very exciting. I recently joined the ADSD yahoogroups (and forum), which is one of the group of designers and digi-scrappers that host those awesome blog trains each month. Currently they are doing the Sugar Shoppe train, which is amazing! I went around the earlier part of this week, snagging up all the parts, that came up to just under 3 GB!! Anyways, I signed up to take part in the blog train that they will be doing in November, so I've been working on my part of the collaboration, and I can't wait to show it and share it with you all. I'll be posting my part on November 1st, which is the official start to the train for that month, so keep your eyes open! I'm really excited to be part of this!!

In addition, I have some ideas for my next kits and plan on starting the next one soon. I have also been working on some other shares, so be sure to check back often to see what else I have for you all.

Anyways, heading off to bed. Thank you so much for looking and if you like what you see, be sure to check back!!

Until later...

Purple Letters and Numbers, Oh My!

Good morning everyone!

As some of you may know, I'm a real bad insomniac, so I do a lot of my creating and computer time from about mid afternoon to the weeeeeee hours of the morning, and then I am finally able to fall asleep some time around 8 AM or so. Tonight is no different - it is just before 2:45 here and I am WIDE awake, so thought I'd make a matching alpha and numbers set to go along with the purple kit I recently posted. So if you liked the purple kit, you will probably like these too!

Here is the preview:
Photobucket

They are available in the usual 3 formats. Each "line" of letters or numbers is on it's own layer in each format, so they will be a little easier to use.

Here are the download links:

I hope you like them and if you download, please leave a quick comment? I love hearing from you all! And if you like what you see, be sure to check back often as I'm always working on something to share.

2 More Tag Templates and Update on Purple Kit

Good morning everyone~!

I hope you are all doing well. :) Me, been kinda rough the last couple of days. The 27th was my dad's birthday and he would have been 87 years old. As some of you may know, he passed away on September 7, 2002 due to complications from Alzheimer's, so September is rough for me as it is the month of his passing AND his birthday. I still miss him a lot as he and I were always close. I didn't really feel like doing much on the 27th. I just laid low, caught up on some email and played in PSP and kept to myself. For those of you who have been liking my new tag templates, then you will be happy with what I came up with -- 2 new templates. Here are the previews and download links:

I've also been putting the finishing touches on the purple kit and hope to get it up for you all in the next day or so. Since purple is my favorite color, I want to make sure this is a really good kit, and I keep wanting to add things to it! So far I have 16 papers and 21 elements for it! I just keep thinking there should be more.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the templates. Would love to see if you all make anything with them! If you download, please leave a little love - it's nice hearing from you!!

Until next time....

Trying Something New!

Good Morning everyone!

Well, I thought I would try something new, and wanted to get it posted before I head off to bed in a lil bit. I have been really admiring the tag templates that I have seen all over the place, and I have had some ideas for templates of my own floating around in this noggin' of mine, so I figured I'd try it. Now granted, this one is pretty basic (I've seen some templates out there that are truly AMAZING!) and it's the first one I've ever made, however would love to know what you all think! I just made the template this evening and a tag by me using the template is below the preview. If anyone uses it, I'd love to see what you come up with, and if you use it in a tutorial, please link back to the blog and not to the actual upload link? Thank you!

Here is the preview:

And my tag made with the template, using artwork of GPG artist, Hitana:

Colorful Flowers For You All!

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all doing well this fine September afternoon. As I write this, Hurricane Ike is getting closer to the mainland. I just want to say that I hope everyone in the path remains safe and sound and please, if you can, take cover. It sounds like it's going to be a nasty one, and wouldn't want to hear of anyone getting hurt from it. Houses and cars can be replaced - people can't. I have friends and family in Texas and I say a little prayer that they are safe as well.

Here is my share for today - I was just sort of fiddling around in PSP last night and came up with these. They are totally made by me - no scripts or anything. I have them in the usual 3 formats (.png, .psp, .pspimage). Here is the preview:

And here are the upload links:

Oh Wow!

Photobucket
Oh wow... I'm in shock! I just checked my 4 shared link and noticed that the autumn word art that I just posted last night (well early this AM) has had 186 downloads between the 3 different formats. I am so happy, and shocked and .... I'm very happy that you all like what I have been sharing!

Anyways, just wanted to share that, and to say thank you to everyone who has been snagged what I share - it makes me very happy to know that others like them!!

Autumn Is Coming

Well I realize that many of us are still in the grips of very warm, summery weather, however autumn isn't too far around the corner. So in preparation for cooler - and more colorful - days, I did up some word art with an autumn theme.

Here is the preview:

Photobucket

They are in the following 3 formats: .png, .psp, .pspimage.
The .png are all on one layer, however there is ample space between the quotes that you can select each one and copy to whatever you are doing. The .psp and .pspimage formats have 1 quote per layer.

Here are the upload links:

I hope that you enjoy them, and please be sure to come back often if you like what you see as I try to post new things all the time!

Fresh As a Summer's Day

Good morning everyone!

Well, it is a beautiful morning out there, and this is coming from someone who is *so* not a morning person. If we could have the rest of the summer and fall like it is now, I'd be happy. I know it's suppose to be in the 90's later on, but right now its in the high 70's and cool with low humidity - just how I like it!!

Anyways, I finished my latest kit for you all, called Summer Fresh. The idea for the colors came about from a picture of a ceramic cup on Stock Exchange that I had saved to tube, and thought the colors were so pretty! And voila! another palette for a kit was born. I hope you all like it.

Here is the preview:

Photobucket

The kit contains the following:

10 papers
3 bows (*)
3 buttons
3 beadlines
3 nameplates
2 decorations
2 flowers
2 badges
2 frames

item with * was created with a script by Joske.

Tag, You're It!

Well, I've been tagged again! This makes #4 for me (#2 and #3 were at the same time, a couple of weeks back). This time my tagger is Debb over at DeBee DeZines - thank you Debb!!

As for the 7 "facts" about me....here goes:

1. I'm on 250+ yahoogroups! Of those, I either own and/or moderate about 30 of them.
2. Growing up in Massachusetts, we had a family friend who owned a lobster boat and I spent a lot of time on it, learning to "plug" (and then later, "band") the lobsters. I loved being out on the boat.
3. I would rather fruit over vegetables to get my "5 a day".
4. I'm a packrat! LOL
5. I've never been in a car accident where it has been my fault. (Have only been in 2 my entire life - first when I was a child and my dad was driving - guy ran a red light and hit us....second time I was driving and the other guy ran the red light, causing $2200 in damage to my '66 Mustang!)
6. I've always liked doing things with my hands - typing, cross-stitch, crochet, playing piano, etc. My 3rd grade teacher even made a comment about that on my report card.
7. My 2 childhood best friends were Ellen and Chrissie.

Ok.... now its time to find 7 people to tag, and list them here. I'm choosing:

1. Celly: http://cellyoneill.blogspot.com/
2. Candee: http://mermaidshaven.blogspot.com/
3. Stella: http://stellarificcreations.blogspot.com/
4. Norma: http://seamaidencreations.blogspot.com/
5. April: http://reecesscraps.blogspot.com/
6. Witchy: http://wbscrapdezignz.blogspot.com/
7. Liz: http://graphicsbyliz.blogspot.com/

Off to let them know ....

Also, working on 2 more kits - kinda bouncing between the 2 as I get ideas. Will post when they are ready! Keep your eyes open if you like what you see and are waiting for something new.

Thanks for checking this out!
Until later....

The Blue is Through!

Hello everyone!

Sorry this has taken me longer than I had anticipated. Had to deal with some personal stuff going on with my daughter, and had to get back-to-school stuff taken care of as she goes back this Thursday (August 21st). Her school has a pretty strict dress code (black/white/maroon/gold shirts, polo style only, 3 buttons.... black or khaki pants...all black or all white shoes...no jeans...no hoodies or sweatshirts allowed)...and she attends a public school in Oklahoma City, and no, they do not help supply the school clothes. You know how difficult it is to find polo shirts when they aren't in style? We managed to find some at Target in the Junior's section for about $10 each, so we got a few now plus 2 pairs of black pants, and we will get her some more shirts next month. Because the name of the school has not changed, she can use the shirts she had last year as 'back-up' shirts, since they are a little faded from a year's worth of use.

Anyways, after working on this kit for about the last 3 weeks, I finally have it done. The colors in this kit were inspired by a wallpaper that my friend, Diana, made, called "Painted Pier" (can be seen here). I made 2 color palettes from that wallpaper - this blue one, and the All Natural Kit that I shared a few weeks ago. I've been finding that I'm doing that a lot - finding color palettes for future kits from either wallpapers that have been shared (especially from Diana as she always finds the most amazing photos to use!) or from other graphics I've found along the way. I am also working on 2 more kits at the moment, so I should be pretty busy over the next few weeks!

This particular kit, which I called "Pier at the Walkway" (sort of loosely named after the wallpaper), is one of the largest kits I have shared so far, with the following included:

10 papers
2 flowers
1 glassy water drop
2 tags
2 ribbons (*)
4 bows (*)
2 decorations
3 buttons
2 frame corners
2 swirls

(items marked with a star were made with scripts by Joske)

Here is the preview to the very bluish kit:

Flowers For You!

Just a quick post and freebie share for you all tonite. I was fiddling around in PSP the other night, working with vector shapes and nodes, and made up a flower petal and worked with it came up with some interesting looking flowers. These are totally created by me - no scripts or anything. I didn't get them exactly how I pictured them in my head, but figured someone might be able to do something with them, so here they are (preview is smaller than actual item):

Photobucket

They are available in 8 pretty colors!!

Here are the download links:

I've also been working on a lot of color palettes for more kit ideas - I have about 6 saved at the moment and been doing a few each day. I've been having a lot of fun finding different combinations for kits! Plus I'm making more headway on the blue kit I told you about the other day - hope to have it done soon.

Until the next time - take care and be sure to check back often!!
