A Request, Please?

Just a request for those who are snagging the little animations and whatnot from my blog.... I am very flattered that you like the animations and wish to snag them for your own personal usage. Please, my only request is that you save them down to your computer and then either upload them directly to wherever you are using them, or use a photo sharing site (like Photobucket) to store the images. The reason I ask is, all my scrap previews, as well as the background for my blog, all the little animations, blinkies (etc) I have stored on 2 Photobucket accounts that normally don't exceed about 5% of the monthly usage (which is 25 *GB* per month for a free account) and one of the accounts has already exceeded the usage for February, which is HIGHLY unusual, since last month it didn't even go over 3%. That is a VERY big jump. I have had to make 2 more new Photobucket accounts and am in the process of moving images around (and having to edit my posts to reflect the change of location for images), which is time-consuming.

Again, please, I don't mind if you snag the images for your use, or for previews for emails, or whatever. Please, all I ask is not to hotlink the images that I use on my blog that are connected to my Photobucket accounts as #1) that is considered bandwidth stealing, which is illegal and #2) it is maxing out my Photobucket accounts and is causing problems not only with the images already on my blog, but the ability to post images in the future onto my blog.

Chocolate Candy is for Lovers

Hello everyone! Welcome to February! Hard to believe a month of the new year has already come and gone! Time sure does fly when you are keeping busy!

Speaking of which, one of the things that kept me busy for the month of January was working on the February kit for ADSD, which is called Chocolate Cherry. Now, I was never a fan of the chocolate cherries as a food however I fell in LOVE with the colors for this kit! Very festive and reminds me of Valentines - with the traditional reds and pinks, plus the brown to represent that yummy chocolate Valentine candy! YUM

Hearts Abound

Just dropping a quick note to let you all know that I have 2 blog trains coming up in a couple of days, and 1 more in a couple of weeks. The Valentine Blog Train will be arriving at the station on January 31st, just after midnight, and with it will be bringing a bunch of awesome freebies in beautiful colors. The designers were given 2 different color themes that they could work with, and we could choose either one, or both, or a little from both - whatever we wanted. I chose this pink palette (believe it or not, I didn't go with purple! LOL):




Then, on February 1st, we will have another blog train heading this way. I am participating in the monthly ADSD collaboration and for February we will be doing a Valentine themed kit called Chocolate Cherry. Sounds good, huh? Here are the colors we used:



And then, on February 14th, we will have the Valentine Convoy swinging by, with more wonderful creations by many talented designers. I'm sure you all will have a fun time, snagging all the parts to this great train!

Winter Convoy and Touching Base

Good Evening everyone!

It is a brisk, cold January evening here and winter is definitely in the air! Just a couple of days ago it was in the 70s, and I was actually hanging clothes out on the line (our dryer broke down several months ago so we've been either hanging the clothes or going to the local laundromat). I still have a load left to do so guess its a trip to the laundromat I go! LOL

I also have a new item in the store and wanted to let you all know about it. They are tie dye flowers, and they looks very retro, very 60s. They remind me of a favorite tie dye t-shirt that I use to have, many moons ago. I loved that shirt and hated to get rid of it, however I really couldn't wear it anymore with a huge hole in the middle where my stomach was! I would love to find another shirt like that. It was so comfy and soft! Here is a preview of the flowers:

Lifting Hope and Quick News

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to write a quick few lines to let you know that I recently donated some time and energy in working on a collaboration with several other talented designers for a charity kit to benefit those affected with the disease called Ectodermal Dysplasias (ED) which can affect not just the skin, but the "sweat glands, hair, teeth, and nails." Lady V posted about her desire to get this charity kit rolling as not only is she affected with it, she has a few family members also dealing with it. When I read about her family I wanted to do what I could to help, and I feel very honored to have been able to take part in the kit.

The kit is still coming together, however you can read about it's current status on Lady V's blog, here. The kit is going to be called "Lifting Hopes" and the theme of the kit was items that 'lift', or lift hope, like balloons, and planes. My contribution consists of 5 papers and 4 elements, which you can see here:



When I find out the details about the kit - when it is going up for sale, where, etc - then I will be sure to post it here so you can help support this worthy cause.

As for what else is going on with me, I've been working very hard on quite a few different scrap things for you all! I have 3 Valentine-related scrap trains coming up next month and one at the end of this month that is winter-related, so be sure to keep your eyes open for them, because they all should be full of wonderful snags! While I can't show you my preview YET for my part of the Winter Convoy, I can give you a little sneak peek of the colors we used:

For those of you who follow a pagan path, today is Yule, otherwise known as the Winter Solstice. It is also the longest day of the year, which will also mark a gradual 'return' of the Sun. Today, my family will be having a delicious dinner together. May you all have a wonderful, blessed Yule this season.

Bowed Over

Ok… kinda corny… I know, I know.

Anyways, this is going to be a quick post as I have been up since about midnight (so about 14 hours now) and thinking of laying down for a nap to get rid of this headache, however I wanted to share my newest store item with you all!
