Oh Wow!

Oh wow... I'm in shock! I just checked my 4 shared link and noticed that the autumn word art that I just posted last night (well early this AM) has had 186 downloads between the 3 different formats. I am so happy, and shocked and .... I'm very happy that you all like what I have been sharing!

Anyways, just wanted to share that, and to say thank you to everyone who has been snagged what I share - it makes me very happy to know that others like them!!

Autumn Is Coming

Well I realize that many of us are still in the grips of very warm, summery weather, however autumn isn't too far around the corner. So in preparation for cooler - and more colorful - days, I did up some word art with an autumn theme.

Here is the preview:

They are in the following 3 formats: .png, .psp, .pspimage.
The .png are all on one layer, however there is ample space between the quotes that you can select each one and copy to whatever you are doing. The .psp and .pspimage formats have 1 quote per layer.

Here are the upload links:

I hope that you enjoy them, and please be sure to come back often if you like what you see as I try to post new things all the time!

Until then....

Fresh As a Summer's Day

Good morning everyone!

Well, it is a beautiful morning out there, and this is coming from someone who is *so* not a morning person. If we could have the rest of the summer and fall like it is now, I'd be happy. I know it's suppose to be in the 90's later on, but right now its in the high 70's and cool with low humidity - just how I like it!!

Anyways, I finished my latest kit for you all, called Summer Fresh. The idea for the colors came about from a picture of a ceramic cup on Stock Exchange that I had saved to tube, and thought the colors were so pretty! And voila! another palette for a kit was born. I hope you all like it.

Here is the preview:

The kit contains the following:

10 papers
3 bows (*)
3 buttons
3 beadlines
3 nameplates
2 decorations
2 flowers
2 badges
2 frames

item with * was created with a script by Joske.
(Link is in the Resource area, on the right side of blog.)

And here are the links for the downloads:

I hope you all enjoy this kit and if you make something with it, I'd love to see!
I'm working on another kit and I've been batting around the idea of making a matching alpha set to go with this kit, so be sure to check back often to see what else I have to share!!

Until next time...

Tag, You're It!

Well, I've been tagged again! This makes #4 for me (#2 and #3 were at the same time, a couple of weeks back). This time my tagger is Debb over at DeBee DeZines - thank you Debb!!

As for the 7 "facts" about goes:

1. I'm on 250+ yahoogroups! Of those, I either own and/or moderate about 30 of them.
2. Growing up in Massachusetts, we had a family friend who owned a lobster boat and I spent a lot of time on it, learning to "plug" (and then later, "band") the lobsters. I loved being out on the boat.
3. I would rather fruit over vegetables to get my "5 a day".
4. I'm a packrat! LOL
5. I've never been in a car accident where it has been my fault. (Have only been in 2 my entire life - first when I was a child and my dad was driving - guy ran a red light and hit us....second time I was driving and the other guy ran the red light, causing $2200 in damage to my '66 Mustang!)
6. I've always liked doing things with my hands - typing, cross-stitch, crochet, playing piano, etc. My 3rd grade teacher even made a comment about that on my report card.
7. My 2 childhood best friends were Ellen and Chrissie.

Ok.... now its time to find 7 people to tag, and list them here. I'm choosing:

1. Celly:
2. Candee:
3. Stella:
4. Norma:
5. April:
6. Witchy:
7. Liz:

Off to let them know ....

Also, working on 2 more kits - kinda bouncing between the 2 as I get ideas. Will post when they are ready! Keep your eyes open if you like what you see and are waiting for something new.

Thanks for checking this out!
Until later....

The Blue is Through!

Hello everyone!

Sorry this has taken me longer than I had anticipated. Had to deal with some personal stuff going on with my daughter, and had to get back-to-school stuff taken care of as she goes back this Thursday (August 21st). Her school has a pretty strict dress code (black/white/maroon/gold shirts, polo style only, 3 buttons.... black or khaki pants...all black or all white hoodies or sweatshirts allowed)...and she attends a public school in Oklahoma City, and no, they do not help supply the school clothes. You know how difficult it is to find polo shirts when they aren't in style? We managed to find some at Target in the Junior's section for about $10 each, so we got a few now plus 2 pairs of black pants, and we will get her some more shirts next month. Because the name of the school has not changed, she can use the shirts she had last year as 'back-up' shirts, since they are a little faded from a year's worth of use.

Anyways, after working on this kit for about the last 3 weeks, I finally have it done. The colors in this kit were inspired by a wallpaper that my friend, Diana, made, called "Painted Pier" (can be seen here). I made 2 color palettes from that wallpaper - this blue one, and the All Natural Kit that I shared a few weeks ago. I've been finding that I'm doing that a lot - finding color palettes for future kits from either wallpapers that have been shared (especially from Diana as she always finds the most amazing photos to use!) or from other graphics I've found along the way. I am also working on 2 more kits at the moment, so I should be pretty busy over the next few weeks!

This particular kit, which I called "Pier at the Walkway" (sort of loosely named after the wallpaper), is one of the largest kits I have shared so far, with the following included:

10 papers
2 flowers
1 glassy water drop
2 tags
2 ribbons (*)
4 bows (*)
2 decorations
3 buttons
2 frame corners
2 swirls

(items marked with a star were made with scripts by Joske)

Here is the preview to the very bluish kit:

And the download links are here:

Thank you so much for looking and downloading my kit(s) and I look forward to having something new up soon, so be sure to check back often if you like what you see!!

Until then....

Flowers For You!

Just a quick post and freebie share for you all tonite. I was fiddling around in PSP the other night, working with vector shapes and nodes, and made up a flower petal and worked with it came up with some interesting looking flowers. These are totally created by me - no scripts or anything. I didn't get them exactly how I pictured them in my head, but figured someone might be able to do something with them, so here they are (preview is smaller than actual item):

They are available in 8 pretty colors!!

Here are the download links:

.psp format
.pspimage format

I've also been working on a lot of color palettes for more kit ideas - I have about 6 saved at the moment and been doing a few each day. I've been having a lot of fun finding different combinations for kits! Plus I'm making more headway on the blue kit I told you about the other day - hope to have it done soon.

Until the next time - take care and be sure to check back often!!

I've Been Tagged Again

Well ... I've been tagged again... this time by Vicki and SusieQ. Now, I'm not sure if I can combine the two and just do the 7 'fun facts' or if I'm suppose to now come up with 14 (7 per person). I'm going to do 7 and if this is wrong, let me know.

This is really challenging as I came up with 7 things a couple of weeks back, so trying to find stuff that I didn't already mention is going to be interesting! Well, here goes:

1. I'm a very bad insomniac.
2. My very first car was a 1966 Ford Mustang (color: baby blue), hardtop, original pony interior, 389 engine in excellent condition. I paid $2200 for it, second hand, in 1982. I have always had a LOVE of Mustangs (car).
3. My favorite foods are Chinese, Mexican, seafood, and anything cheesy!!
4. I have been playing piano since I was 8 years old. Up until 2003, I have always had a piano in my home. Currently, due to circumstances, I don't have one, however would like to get one at some point.
5. I love all kinds of animals (except spiders!! ACK!) - I'm truly an animal person! Would love to have a lot of space with all kinds of animals!!
6. I love anime!!! My favorite shows are Inuyasha (I'm addicted!), and Bleach. I would love to be able to draw anime.
7. I love the ocean - to be near it, smell it, be in it, around it - you name it! Water is very much my element!!

Now... to tag 7 people...and the rules:

1.Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

And the lucky 7 are:

1. Krista:
2. Sherah:
3. Lisa:
4. Beth:
5. Angel Wolf:
6. Lindsay Jane:
7. Nadine:

And there's the 7 - I'm off to let them know now.

Thanks for looking!!

Some Exciting News, New Kit Preview and Another Award!!

I know, usually I don't have much to say however today.... I got something I just want to share!

Not sure how many of you are aware, however I was adopted at birth. It was a closed adoption, and I never even knew that I was adopted until the summer of 1985, right before I turned 21 years old (my b'day was that November). I was floored, to say the least - wasn't expecting it. The only thing I was able to find out that night was my biological mother's name. I never pursued it out of respect for my parents - mostly my dad - who really didn't want to tell me because he was afraid that my knowing would change how I felt about them (it didn't). My dad passed away on 9/7/02, due to complications from Alzheimer's. However, due to some stuff going on in my life, I really wasn't in a place to really look for my biological mother, although in the back of my head I always wondered if she was alive and if I had brothers and sisters. Now, roll ahead to February 2007. I am at home, now living in Oklahoma, and the mail arrives. There is a letter for me from a woman in Texas who claims that she is my biological sister and gives some information that shows me that she's not kidding, nor is she mistaken. I was beside myself. Come to find out she spent the last 32+ years LOOKING FOR ME. She had given me her phone number and address and I called her - we spent about 2 hours on the phone talking. There is no question, we are sisters. In April 2007, my (adoptive) mother passed away from several health issues. In the last year and half, I have been getting to know my sister, and she has also been telling our OTHER brothers and sisters that she has found me. She also told our mother that she found me as well. At first, she was very hesitant about wanting to know about me, then she started to ask a few questions, and then she wasn't sure. Well, on Sunday night I received a call and it was my biological mother on the other end. To make a very long story short, the conversation went VERY well, she was glad she had made the call (as am I!) and she wants to have contact with me, wants to get to know me, would even like to eventually meet.... this is much more than I had hoped for or expected. I am still trying to take it all in. We were on the phone for about an hour and half, talking about so many things. And I told her that I was not mad at her, did not hate her, did not blame her (which is ALL very true) and that I understood that she did what she felt she needed to at the time.... she tried to apologize for letting me go, that she didn't want to but felt she had no choice at the time (this was 1964) and I told her that I understood she felt she needed to apologize, however I felt there was no need. When I spoke to my sister tonite, she was also surprised to hear that she had called me, but she was glad that we were able to finally talk with each other. So we will see what happens from here.

In other news (LOL), I have received another award! I am so thrilled and it was so totally unexpected, and actually found out about it in a funny way. I was checking out a scrapping blog called Lollipops Candyland and was snagging some of the free kits she had there - she does wonderful work! - and then I noticed on her post for today that she had received an award, and in turn was awarding 7 other bloggers, and I am one of the 7! Thank you Dawn! I am so touched, and happy! That was so sweet of you to do. And here is the award:
